Review: Gold Cacao Pack – Korean Facial Mask

For many centuries, gold was used as a tool to maintain youthful skin, it was not until recently that skincare companies began incorporating gold into their premium range of products. Research has revealed that gold not only has anti-bacterial properties, but actually helps to transport oxygen molecules directly into the skin, influencing cellular functions and providing a new energy level. This helps to revitalise and rejuvenate the skin.

The youth of the skin is dependent on the efficiency of the cell-renewal process, which is hampered by many factors. The build-up of toxins and wastes in the system, along with exposure to ultraviolet radiation and chemical air pollutants, slows down the regeneration of new cells. It also hastens the aging process by causing oxidation damage to the collagen fibres, the supporting tissue of the skin and by undermining the skin’s normal functions. Pure gold actually helps to reverse oxidation damage, making the skin more firm, resilient and youthful. Gold also helps stimulate lymphatic drainage and blood circulation, thus facilitating the removal of toxins and wastes and purifying the skin. All these actions help to improve the skin’s normal functions, particularly that of regeneration of healthy new cells.

Cocoa powder on the other hand, contains an alkaloid caffeine and vitamins B2, and potassium, magnesium, calcium, iron and other elements. It not only to maintains the skin’s elasticity but also helps keep dry skin moisturized and hydrated. Cocoa also containsan antioxidant of polyphenols, which can efficiently prevent skin aging due to the formation of cell spots, wrinkles and other phenomena.

Gold + Cacao together aids in refining pores and producing youthful looking skin.

Some testimonials from Korea:

  • It moisturizes, repairs & regenerates new skin
  • Shrinks and refine appearance of pores
  • Helps in the healing of acne proned skin
  • Restore skin’s elasticity to prevent sagging
  • Controls excessive oil formation
  • Brightens dull looking skin by adding radiance
  • Smells extremely good – that is if you are a fan of chocolates 🙂

  • It takes some effort to rinse off the mask after having it on for about 15mins. I had to use a small facial sponge to help wash away the product.

On the whole, I think this is a pretty good product. It leaves my skin feeling moisturized and soft. I cannot really comment on the elasticity because I haven’t been using this regularly but I will from now on. Being a chocaholic, I love the scent of this product, it’s like having chocolate smeared all over my face 🙂

I got this product only via a spree at S$29.90.
