MAC Haul: Wonder Woman Collection & Sheen Supreme Lipstick
When I first saw reviews and pictures of the MAC Wonder Woman Collection, I didn’t think much about it. In fact, I was somewhat put off by it because of the “plastic and cartoony” packaging. Once again, I have been reminded to never judge a cosmetic by it’s packaging!
Seeing it in the buff today just blew me away! I actually liked it, despite the cartoony packaging! In fact, it was pretty cool, not all cheap and plastic like I expected. I mean, there are probably mixed reviews online about the range and colors released for this but, I honestly liked them. I picked out 2 items from the Wonder Woman Collection – The Bronzer in Golden Lariat and the blush in Mighty Aphrodite. Apart from these, I also picked out a few other items. :p
Left to Right: MAC Brush Cleanser, WW Golden Lariat Bronzer, WW Mighty Aphrodite Blush, Cremeblend Blush in LadyBlush, Sheen Supreme Lipstick in Impressive, MAC 224 Blending Brush
MAC WONDER WOMAN GOLDEN LARIAT BRONZER S$60:
This is one big palette. It’s got 3 colors in there that can either be used separately as Blush, Bronzer & Highlighter as shown in the above swatch or you can swirl a big fluffy face brush to mix all 3 colors and use it as a blush OR even dust lightly as an all-over mineral veil. This is the darker bronzer palette in the WW Collection. The other palette was slightly too pink and white for my skin color.
MAC WONDER WOMAN MIGHTY APHRODITE BLUSH S$47:
Check out the difference in size! Blush on the left and Bronzer on the right.
To be honest, the color pay-off doesn’t seem to be great when I tried to swatch it after I purchased the product. It was fine at the store. Maybe I’ll try again tomorrow. This is such a beautiful blush. I am obsessed with blushes and bronzers which help to sculp and slim my moon-like face!
MAC CREMEBLEND BLUSH IN LADYBLUSH S$35:
I suppose it’s normal to have water droplets due to the temperature difference of the store and the warm Singapore outdoor temperature.
You can probably tell from this post that I am a sucker when it comes to blush, I love them all, cream, powder, just give them all to me!
I was told by the MAC SA that this is a collection that has been brought back due to popularity but this time, with new-improved formula. This blush feels super creamy and seems to blend really well. I will put it to the test tomorrow and do a thorough review! So far, I am loving the color! It’s one of those really easy to use colors which goes well with most skin tones.
MAC SHEEN SUPREME LIPSTICK IN IMPRESSIVE S$28:
I have never been a fan of lipsticks simply because they always feel tacky and muddy on my lips and I absolutely hate that feeling. What I hate more than that muddy feeling is the look of all that lines and dryness of my lips being enhanced by the lipstick that I wear. Hence, I always stick to lipstain + gloss.
However, this particular Sheen Supreme range seemed to change my view on lipsticks. They are really well formulated, making them a good cross between a lipstick because of the strong pigments and a moisturizing lip gloss. I was spoilt for choice with regards to color. Ended up picking Impressive, but I really liked Bare Again as well, which is a Pink Neutral Beige. Might pop by tomorrow to grab it because I can’t stop thinking about it!!!
MAC 224 BLENDING BRUSH S$53:
Been lemming after this brush for ages but it’s always been out of stock at almost every MAC store in Singapore. Finally managed to find a store with stock (MAC @ Ngee Ann City). One can never have too many blending brushes, with this, I now have 5!
MAC BRUSH CLEANSER S$21:
Personally, my favorite brush cleaner is the one from Shu Uemura because I do not have to rinse it out or wait too long to dry. But, once in a while I like to thoroughly wash out my brushes to prevent bacteria from forming in them, so this would be my go-to cleanser for deep cleansing. Again, this brings my count of brush cleansers to 3! I need to do a review on brush cleaning and my preferred routine.
Okie dokey, that’s all for now. I shall put all the above items to the test, possibly do a couple LOTD so you can see how the products turn out to be. Thanks for reading!
