LOTD Using My Latest Haul Items!
For once, I didn’t have Monday Blues when I woke up this morning. In fact, I was so excited about this morning that I spent the night tossing and turning in bed, hoping the sun would rise so that I could leap out of bed to start using my newly acquired cosmetics! Yup! I am crazy like that. I don’t really wear make-up over the weekend since I’m usually lazing around at home or just shopping around my estate. Weekdays are the only time I actually put on make-up for the sake of work.
So, without further a-do, let me present you with the look I wore to work today, created using some of the items from my last MAC haul.
Haha, you might think… Hmm.. what’s so special? Another typical Mabel’s Neutral look. Well, you are kinda right because, once again, I used my Urban Decay Naked Palette for the eyes, but the foundation, bronzer, blusher, highlighter and lipstick were new!
What I used to create this look:
1. Laneige Makeup Primer Moisture
2. MAC Wonder Woman Bronzer – Golden Lariat
3. Urban Decay Naked Palette – Virgin, Naked, Sidecar, Buck, Darkhorse
4. Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil – Zero
5. Laura Mercier Undercover Pot – Nude
6. Skin Food Illuminating Base
7. Benefit Powderflage
8. MUFE Aqua Cream – 13
9. Can Make Eyebrow Color
10. YSL Touche Eclat – 1
11. Bobbi Brown Foundation Stick – Warm Beige
12. MAC MSF – Medium Plus
13. Maybelline Extreme Stiletto Mascara – Very Black
14. MAC Sheen Supreme – Bare Again
This was my very first time trying out a foundation stick. I was skeptical when I tried it at the Bobbi Brown counter thinking either the color would not match or that it would be difficult to blend or end up looking way too thick, but I LOVE it! It provides good coverage, evens out my skin tone without looking heavy on the face. I applied it with the MAC130 stippling brush. Shall do a more thorough review showing the application this weekend. For now, check out the pictures below to see how smooth it makes my skin look!
I love the MAC Wonder Woman Bronzer – it’s one of those 3-in-1 which you can take along with you when you travel. I used the Middle section to contour with MAC109 brush, followed by the corally blush and golden highlight. Kinda like the outcome of it. Goes on so smoothly and easy to blend. However, because it is so pigmented, do remember to dab away any access powder on the brush before contact to your face, else you will end up with a patchy stain which requires a much longer time to blend out.
I shall try using the Bobbi Brown Foundation Stick tomorrow using a regular foundation brush and see if the result would be different. I just love how it seamlessly covers the unsightly vein around the side of my chin!
Have you tried this foundation or any of the above products? What are your thoughts?
