Do you love samples?
I have been very fortunate to be sent several monthly subscription boxes by Vanity Trove the last 2 months. First was the August Watson’s box, September and then October’s box. Even though it wasn’t my first time receiving these subscription boxes, I must say I still get super excited each month, wondering what goodies I’ll get in each box.
It’s kind of like Japanese Omakase….. You never know what the chef would be feeding you 😉
So let’s start with the August Watson’s box.
Is that AMAZING or what!! The box was so heavy and fully packed with samples satchels, deluxe samples and tons and tons of face and eye masks. I LOVE IT! I received this box just before my business trip to HK and vacation to the Maldives so the timing couldn’t be more impeccable.
The Banana Boat sunscreen came along with me to the Maldives, along with the Leaders Hydrogel Eye Therapy Patch and Pure Beauty BB Cream. For the first time, this box was even packed with an item for men!! The hubs got to benefit from this of course!
September’s Trove couldn’t get any better with 2 full sized beauty products – a RIMMEL quad eyeshadow palette and Essie’s Demure Vixen. I had initially swatched both items but my SD Card got corrupted and lost all my photos.. Bummer! Will feature them in future LOTDs instead.
I was most excited to try out the GoodSkin Labs Smooth-365 serum. Well, I’m just a sucker for anything that contains any form of peptides.. They are supposed to be super for anti-aging purposes. The Oilum Hydro-Rebalance Collagen Rejuvenating Body Cleanser smells heavenly and it kept my skin hydrated during my dive trip last weekend.
And finally, October’s Trove….
The Audrey Christian Venetrim Vein Reducing Cream is a cooling gel that brings relief to swollen, tired and painful legs. It reduces stagnation in the blood vessels, enhances blood circulation and improves the tonicity of the veins bringing them back to normality. This gel is great for long shopping days. The scent was kind of medical and menthol so don’t expect it to be sweet smelling just because of it’s girly packaging. I have tried it on for days when I spent hours throtting around in my stilettos and it does provide wonderful relief. As for reduction of visible veins, I guess I haven’t used it enough to tell the difference.
The Lavender Sap Patch by The Essence of Nature is something new for me. I have previously tried those chinese medical foot patches which claims to remove toxins from the body. This one smells really good and lavendery. Will update once I’ve tried it.. possibly tonight!
The October’s box also came with one of my favourite travel beauty product of all times….. The Biore Cleansing Oil Cotton Wipe!!
These are the best wipes EVER! Enough said. I love it for it’s sheer convenience especially when I am traveling. No risk of spilling my cleansing oil.
