Top 10 February & March Favorites
Hi Everyone! Over the last 2 months, I have acquired a pretty decent number of new skincare and makeup items, many of which I absolutely adore. Here’s a list of my Top 10 favorites:
1. Urban Decay Naked Palette
This has got to be my all-time favorite eyeshadow palette. It is like my Holy Grail, I almost cannot live without this palette, especially when I am in a rush to do my eyes for work every morning. Love the neutral shades and how they can be transformed from a day look to a night look.
2. MAC Sheen Supreme Lipstick in Impressive
This is a mauve-pink lipstick which has been my staple lip color on most days last month. Love how it brightens up my face on days where I have very light eye makeup. I have a more thorough review here.
3. MAC Sheen Supreme Lipstick in Bare Again
This is a pretty peachy nude color which again has been in my daily makeup pouch as it is so versatile and goes with most looks that I wear. Click here for my detailed review.
4. Bobbi Brown Gel Liner in Black Ink
I don’t think I need to explain further, one of the first and best gel liners around. This gel liner can even be used on the waterline.
5. MUFE Aqua Cream in No. 13
One of my go-to cream shadows these days. I use it as my eye makeup base, almost like a primer with shimmer and a hint of champagne color. Love how it stays put all day without smudging or oxidizing.
6. Manicare Beauty Sponge
Dupe for the Beauty Blender (which I have yet to try). This is the very first beauty sponge I have ever used and I have to say I am loving it big time! It totally cuts the amount of time taken to apply foundation by half! Here’s a tutorial on how I applied my foundation using this sponge.
7. Urban Decay Dew Me Moisturizing Makeup Setting Spray
Excellent makeup setting spray which not only allows makeup to last longer, but also provides a nice natural glow to the face. Here’s a demo on how best to apply this mist on your face to set your makeup.
8. Bobbi Brown Extra Eye Cream
My current go-to eye cream for day and night. Am loving it so far as it’s so hydrating. When used below concealer, it helps prevent the concealer from sitting into the fine lines around the eyes. Love it!
9. Korean brand Ion Massager
This is a new “beauty gadget” I recently acquired. It’s a little vibrating massager which allows water and gel based products to be absorbed into the skin. I even use it with my eye cream! It is especially good for massaging serum into fine lines.
10. Tripollar Stop
This is a handheld Radio Frequency machine that can be used at home to increase collagen production and cause a facial lifting effect while reducing appearance of fine lines. I used to get this treatment done at TLC Dr Georgia Lee’s clinic for $160 per treatment (once a week for 6 weeks and then once a month). It was just too expensive to sustain. This esthetic machine costs $580 and can be purchased from Clariancy at Raffles Hotel Arcade. This is the mildest RF with Thermage being the strongest treatment available in the market. So far it’s been working great! I even bought a set for my mom for Mother’s Day. Will do a more thorough review after I have used it for 2 months.
Have you tried any of the above items? Let me know your thoughts about them.
