The Body Shop Nutriganics Drop of Youth First Impressions
I was once super obsessed with skincare (that was before I started this blog), in fact that was one of the reasons why I originally started my blog so that I could share the various skincare products that worked! This skincare obsession very quickly transposed to a cosmetic obsession where I ended up paying more attention to the makeup and foundation I use on my face – so much so that it became a “don’t worry about the skin, everything can be covered” type of mentality (BAD BAD BAD)!
Because I was spending so much moola on makeup, I had to sacrifice the amount of skincare I use, so when certain products ran out, I replaced some (especially day care) with drugstore products. And as a result, my skin started to look dull and sallow.
Ching Yan from The Body Shop contacted me while I was in Japan and introduced me to a new diagnostic tool online which consists of a number of questions which would help determine the type of products that would be useful to target my skin concerns. This is quite a nifty little tool that is so easy to use and helps you understand your skin better.
I did the diagnosis twice and for some reason I got 2 different results!! Guess I have too many concerns! 😡
You can check out the tool HERE!
As you can see from above, there are 2 products that seemed to be essentials for me from both diagnosis.
One of which is the new Nutriganics Drop Of Youth serum.
Revitalising Power In Every Drop! Here’s what it claims to do..
This serum is a Youth-enhancing concentrate for smoother looking skin. It is designed to optimise the results of your daily regime. It contains criste-marine plant stem cells and beech bud extract, known to help enhance surface skin renewal. Drop by drop it serves to even skin tone and leaves skin looking smoother, fresher and healthier.
This serum couldn’t come at a more perfect time! My usual serum in my skincare regime had run out months ago and I have been using a number of drugstore serums or highend samples which I received from purchasing other products. None of the drugstore ones seemed to do anything for me. Thus I bought a new box of La Mer skincare which includes moisturiser, eye balm and serum! I can now leave that till later while I put myself through the test in the bid of achieving YOUTH through this serum!
I actually really like the dropper and solid glass bottle it came in. For some reason I tend to believe that serums need to be kept in a glass bottle and kept away from the sun so they don’t lose their natural properties. Most dropper serum bottles have really crappy droppers which were so difficult to get products to go up the dropper and be dispensed for use. This one was such a breeze to use and it dispenses a nice big drop of serum each time, I believe 1-2 drops is all you need for the entire face.
98% of the ingredients are made from natural origins. It also does not contain parabens and silicones.
However, it does contain 2 types of alcohol (Alcohol Denat and Benzol Alcohol) so if you are allergic to alcohol, I suggest you get a sample to try before buying.
Otherwise.. What are you waiting for?! There’s a promotion going on till 23rd Jan! That leaves you 2 days to grab the serum! (I only just received the product today thus the delay in post)
I am going to jump into the shower, wash my face and start my journey to youthful skin with this serum (at my age, I need all the youth-enhancing help!). Will do another update after 28 days!
