Sephora – The Gift Ocean for the Holidays
We are less than 2 months away from Christmas and that means it’s time to start thinking about Christmas shopping ideas. Every year ever since Sephora opened in Singapore, it became the store of choice for one-stop-shop gift ideas for friends and family. Yes, even for the men! haha
I had the chance to preview some of the Holiday 2014 collections you can expect to see in stores very soon and I have to say this, Sephora never disappoints! This year’s selections by far one of the most exciting ones, with good range – Marc Jacobs Beauty, Bauble Bar x Stila collaboration, Hello Kitty, and more. What’s even better is the price of these holiday collections. I noticed that the prices are all very reasonable which makes gifting even better and more cost effective 😉 You get more bang for the buck!
Launch Date: Most of the Holiday Sets will be available from 6 November.
In this post, I will share some pictures and initial thoughts of what I previewed. Complete price lists and official press information will be covered separately in upcoming posts.
Sephora Blockbuster Sets
I seem to purchase one every year as gift for my little niece.
The booth was just so magical and whimsical. It was Paris inspired with pastel hues everywhere. It’s really pretty and immediately drew me into getting closer to the collection. What’s even better, the prices are surprisingly amazing!
Tarte Bon Voyage Collectors Set – $79
Tarte Pin-Up Girl Amazonian Blush Palette – $59
I definitely need this, more for the blushes than the packaging which was a little OTT for me. It’s cute though and comes with a pretty pearl pin – hence the PIN-UP GIRL palette 😉 All 5 blushes are limited edition and brand new colours.
Tarte Sweet Dreams Best Sellers Collection – $27
3 Travel sized items – Maracuja Oil, Limited edition Cheek Stain and Maracuja C-Brighter Eye Treatment. I’m actually quite interested to try the C-Brighter Eye Treatment!
Marc Jacobs Beauty
This is the first year that Marc Jacobs Beauty will be gracing Sephora Holiday here in Singapore. Naturally, we get to see some really exciting classy items, Marc Jacobs never fails.
Marc Jacobs Beauty Kiss Pop Collector’s Edition – $350
I believe these are also available for purchase individually at Sephora. They are simply beautiful!
Marc Jacobs Beauty The Sky-Liner 7 Pieces Petite Highlighter Collection – $69
I swatched these eyeliners but didn’t snap a quick pic because my hand was a bad mess of liner and eyeshadow (Ooops). I will probably get this set for myself because it’s pretty inexpensive and the MJ liners are pretty awesome!
Another whimsical, carnival and magical collection. At first glance, it’s very similar to Tarte’s Holiday Collection. I was immediately drawn to the model’s look – smokey green eyes with pink-red lips and sleek back ponytail. Can’t wait to recreate this look!
Everything Nice Palette – $79
La Belle Carousel – $69
This is one gorgeous gift that everyone would adore. It’s got 3 Eye Shadow Palettes with a total of 12 shades, one of which is the green palette used on the model above; 2 Blush and Bronzer Palettes, including Chocolate Soleil and Who’s Your Poppy Blush. It also comes with a deluxe sized Better Than Sex Mascara.
This year, Stila teams up with Bauble Bar to come up with each of their 7 gift sets. I was most excited about the Bauble Bar pieces because it’s been so hyped up online but we never had the chance to look and feel them in the flesh until now. Every set has a different piece, from cuff to bracelet to necklaces, etc… My pictures here probably don’t do the sets any justice, but you get the idea 😉
20th Anniversary Smudge Stick Waterproof Eyeliner Collection Gift Set – $302
Jewelled Sets – Ranges from $32 to $94
Hello Kitty Beauty
The famous cat (or little girl wearing cat costume as reported recently) has penetrated into the beauty world! She’s got her own range of makeup!
Peter Thomas Roth
We would also need to take care of our skin during this festive season.
Skinstant Mask Magic Kit – $83
And many others… Burt’s Bees, Caudalie, Bare Minerals
I hope this has given you some ideas of what to get for Christmas 😉
