Haul: Illamasqua Skinbase Foundation, Blush & Eyeshadow
This post and video is so late. The pictures and swatches had been sitting in my “to blog” folder for about 1.5 months now. Finally got down to doing this video and post in between my battles in Diablo3 🙂
I picked up 4 Illamasqua items while I was in Melbourne last month – I had to even though they were clearly way overpriced! I have always been curious about Illamasqua products but never got the chance to try them out. These products are from the UK, but for some bizarre reason, I have never seen them in London when I was living there. Guess I wasn’t that obsessed with makeup then.
The counter at Myer was extremely lively and somewhat theatrical. The base color of the counter was black, which added the mysterious look which was very quickly illuminated by the vibrant eyeshadow colors. The counter also had a little corner, well, not that little because it was a long windy table which sits about 8 people for makeup lessons. It reminded me of the scene from Alice in Wonderland where the Hatter was having tea with the forest animals and Alice.
The moment I hit the counter, I went straight to the Foundation section. Given the hype of the Skinbase Foundation, I just had to pick it up, not knowing if it would work well on my skin. It definitely did! I’m in the color No. 9. Detailed review and demo of this in a later post.
One thing that I noticed after purchasing the foundation was…. It was Made In Thailand?!?!?! Why?? Is this normal? Geez… Regardless, I LOVE this foundation to bits.
Blush: Katie (Matte)
Eyeshadows: Vernau and Burst (Matte)
Ok, here’s a camwhore picture with extremely light makeup and glowing skin (thanks to my Philosophy Microdelivery Mask and Chanel Sublimage moisturizer)
