Hada Labo: One Drop Locks Up An Ocean

Now.. isn’t the title something that everyone in Singapore is familiar with?
Eversince Hada Labo hit the Singapore shores and started filling up the shelves of Watsons, it has received heaps of praises about being the best hydrating lotion/toner ever created. Of course, I jumped onto the bandwagon and embarked on my journey to hydrated skin – which I really needed.
Recently, Hada Labo has launched a new Nano Formula SHA Hydrating Lotion. So how is this new formula different from the existing one?
The lotion now contains 3 types of Hyaluronic Acid instead of 2.The combination of these 3 types allow the lotion to deeply penetrate the skin to nourish and help restore the skin’s barrier to prevent moisture loss.
Hyaluronic Acid (HA) – 1gm is able to hold 6 litres of water, effectively locks-in moisture on skin.
Nano Hyaluronic Acid – with molecule the size of 1/20 or regular HA, it easily penetrates to deeply moisturize the skin.
Super Hyaluronic Acid – with 2x the moisture retention capacity of HA to keep skin hydrated and smooth for a longer period of time.
Recommended direction of use: Apply on palms and gently pat onto skin until thoroughly absorbed.
Personally, I prefer to use a cotton pad because I can hydrate as well as remove any makeup/dirt that was not thoroughly removed during cleansing. On days when I have super dry patches, I also like to simply drench a cotton pad in the lotion and “stick” it to the area for intensive absorption and hydration. Oh.. and don’t forget to apply some onto your neck!
The other product that I was provided to try out was the Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Moist Eye Cream. Similar to the above SHA lotion, the eye cream also contains the 3 types of Hyaluronic Acid.
- With 3 types of Hyaluronic Acid, the eye cream deeply moisturises the delicate skin around the eyes for immediate suppleness and softness.
- It contains (ACTIFLOW) to visibly lighten dark circles and reduce puffiness.
- It contains natural jojoba oil and extracts to effectively smoothen fine lines and aging skin around the eye area.
- pH balanced. Low irritation.
- Free of fragrances, mineral oil, alcohol and colorant.
Available at all Watsons nationwide @$21.90.
The texture of the eye cream is smooth and slightly watery. Even though it contains Jojoba Oil, it does not feel oily at all. It works great as a daytime eye cream under makeup. I’ve been using it the last couple days and am loving how it kept my eye area hydrated such that my concealers don’t crease or sit into any lines.
I am loving both products!!
