Cream Foundation Routine
Hi everyone! This blog post is so outdated as I actually uploaded the foundation routine video last week. My bad! Just been super crazy busy at work. Haven’t had much time to even sit down to pen this post.
I have probably mentioned this countless times, I have never ever used foundation because of several reasons – one of which being that people used to say that Foundation will cause pores to be enlarged, and that the skin will look very pale once the foundation’s removed. More importantly, it was because I couldn’t find a foundation that would be sufficiently hydrating such that it doesn’t sit into my laugh lines. (Yup! I have lotsa those.. sigh, I guess that’s a price to pay for having a cheerful and bubbly demeanor).
Anyway, eversince I decided to create YouTube videos and this blog, I have decided that it’s time I explore foundation to use as a base rather than my usual primer + loose powder which fails to even out my skin tone. I don’t really have many problem areas, but I do have a broken capillary around my nose, a very obvious green colored vein at the side of my chin and my mouth area seems to be a shade darker than the rest of my face.
Watching the different beauty videos and reading the different blogs had inspired me to research and pick up a couple foundations to try. I now own 3 different types of foundation – Stick, Cream and Liquid. They each have their pros and cons and I tend to switch them around depending on how much time I have in the morning.
Recently, I also discovered a new efficient way to put on foundation, and that is using my new Manicare Sponge! I have since purchased 2 of the sponges. It’s a dupe for the Sonia Kashuk sponge, which is a dupe for the famous Beauty Blender. I Love Love Love this sponge. It totally cuts down my application time by 50%!
In this video, I’m going to demonstrate how I apply foundation using this sponge and get my face ready for other looks. Hope it was useful for you! 🙂
